Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to line a golf course lake?
Installation time depends on lake size and complexity. Small feature ponds can be lined in a couple of days, while multi-acre irrigation reservoirs typically take one to two weeks, including sub-grade preparation and seam welding.
Can you line a lake with water still in it?
For a reliable, long-lasting installation the basin should ideally be fully drained and dried, so we can properly clear the sub-grade, place underlays and weld seams. However, minor leaks in existing liners can sometimes be repaired locally.
How do you hide the liner edges from players?
We use several perimeter techniques to keep liners out of players’ sightlines, including buried anchor trenches, natural stone rip-rap, gravel slopes, or growing turf directly up to the waterline for a seamless finish.
Are your lake liners aquatic and wildlife safe?
Yes. All our primary EPDM and HDPE lining materials are non-toxic and aquatic-safe, so no harmful chemicals leach into the water or affect surrounding wildlife and grass.
